Jam Jars for Jamalpur

As a church we have a long history of supporting the people of Bangladesh through mission, people, prayer and practical and financial help. One of the small but significant projects we support is the eye camps in Jamalpur region of Bangladesh.

Each year we encourage you all to place your excess small coins in a jam jar and once a year we collect them. As part of our service today we will take up that collection.

Fortunately we no longer have to personally count all these coins which was an act of Christian grace in itself (the credit union over the road has a machine which does it) but it is surprising how these small coins soon add up and each year we find that we have a good amount of money to help this important work.

If you forgot to bring your jar along this week you can bring it next week.
